My son until just ...I feel you on the shower thing. My son until just before he turned 4 would absolutely freak out if I took a shower. Now at 4.5 he couldn't care less about it, and it old enough to entertain himself while I do. BUT now my daughter is a very mobile 9 month old who absolutely loves being in the water, so I still don't get to take uninterrupted showers. I put one of Iris' favorite movies on (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Lilo and Stitch, El Dorado, etc), plop her infront of it and then close myself in the bathroom once she's engaged in watching.
