Want To Bring More Happiness Into Your Life?

It's as simple as creating a Gratitude Journal!
Here's mine:
Spend a moment each day (I like to do this at nap time) writing down anything big or small that makes you feel good. A new sweater you just got, a roof over your head, a yummy lunch, the sky, earth, air. Everything!

“Start making a list of things to be grateful for – start with that, because this shifts your energy, it starts to shift your thinking, where before this exercise you might be focusing on what you don’t have, and you might be focusing on your complaints, and you might be focusing on whatever the problems are. When you do this exercise you start to be grateful for all the things you feel good about. As soon as you start to feel differently about what you already have, you will start to attract more of the good things, more of the things you can be grateful for …… Focus on what you already have that you are grateful for”.
-Dr Joe Vitale, MSC.D, Metaphysician
The more you write the happier you begin to feel inside looking at all the things your life is blessed with. This in turn brings upon more happiness to you! It is a wonderful cycle to be a part of.
In her book ‘Simple Abundance’, Sarah Ban Breathnach describes how we can enrich our life by creating a daily gratitude journal.
‘Each night before I go to bed, I write down five things that I can be grateful about that day. Real life isn’t always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgment of what is working in our lives can help us not only to survive but surmount our difficulties.
Simplicity, order, harmony, beauty and joy – all other principles that can transform your life will not blossom and flourish without gratitude…You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.
As you focus on the abundance rather than on the lack in your life, you will be designing a wonderful new blueprint for the future. This sense of fulfilment is gratitude at work. This sense of fulfilment is gratitude at work, transforming your dreams into reality. Begin this day to explore and integrate this beautiful, life-affirming principle into your life, and the miracle you have been seeking will unfold to your wonder and amazement’.
Happy writing!

This is perfect. I've been trying to do this everyday as well. I want to start journaling every night, and when I do- I need to make it a point to state at least three things that made me happy that day! :)

Great post, thanks!
