Week 13!

How your baby's growing:

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce. BabyCenter

The more time passes the more excited I get at the thought of another Trace or Phoenix in my home! I find myself so thankful for the surprise thrown our way, I know if Derek and I had left it up to us we wouldn't have had a third. We would have over rationalized everything, and been too afraid to add a third into the mix. I would have missed out on an awesome opportunity. This time around I am far more educated on the parenting style I feel most comfortable with, I am now (or i'd like to think hehe) an experienced nurser, and I am dying to get another chance at nursing a baby! I fell in love with breastfeeding and I thought Phoenix would be my only chance at breastfeeding. I find myself eyeing the itty bitty clothes I can buy for a third time, looking at crib bedding I thought I'd never get the chance to browse again, thinking of baby names. We have our girl name already set in stone, but we are still searching for another boy name. Trace was such a perfect name for us that we are having a hard time finding a name that shouts out to us as much as his did. 

Where I was once completely overwhelmed and terrified of the thought of another child, I am now beyond excited for the future!
